Hi Linda,

How interesting! Mama painted many paintings like you described, but I never knew her to sign it with just C.P.

Could you take a close-up photo of the painting and text or email to me? I can tell by the painting and the way the C.P. are signed.

I look forward to hearing back from you.

I’m looking for information on a framed picture I bought at a flea market several years ago. It is a picture of Blue Bonnets and maybe a few Indian Paint Brushes along with Prickly Pear and what appears to be Oak trees. The picture is signed C P…did your mom ever sign her paintings with just the initials? It was framed by Fred Hummert in San Antonio. The picture still has the original backing and label where it was framed. It is a small picture that measures 6 1/2 X 11. Thank you in advance!

In reply to redspiralhand.

Hi Dawn,

Yes, C.P. Montage was my mom! She taught me to paint when I was in high school. I had one small painting in the LBJ White House – I’m sure because of mama!
