Peaceful & Natural place
We held our annual family Thanksgiving at Scurlock Farms. My family travels for 3 different states to see our father each Thanksgiving. This was a wonderful setting for our family. The open outdoors were great for family games and night camp fires. The bathrooms are large. Kitchen was well equipped! We will be back. 🙂

3 Bedroom House on a Working Farm
Very comfortable home at the end of a dusty road. Very well equipped with every need anticipated. Our family used two of the three beds and found them to be very comfortable. The owners are very nice to work with. They answered all our questions about the farm and Sheron took my daughter and me on a hour-long tour of the farm including a bluff view of the river and a river level visit where we skipped rocks. That level is reached by a walk through a pasture and a pecan orchard and well worth it. (or can be driven to)

Indian Bluff was a great place for our family to vacation at. The house was perfect for 2 couples and one family of four. We had to youngsters with us, 1 and 4 years, and they could not have had more of a blast. We were the only group at the river each day so when the days started to cool off we’d go down to the river and either hang out on the limestone banks or cool off in the water. It was secluded but not to far from Georgetown to run into town and get anything we needed. We went to Inner Space Caverns one day, which is close by. It was a perfect vacation for our family! Sheron was so hospitable. We were so lucky to book this stay!

Nice home in the country
My friends and I enjoyed getting away from the big city at Indian Bluff. Great for nature lovers, but still close enough to all the major attractions of the Austin area. The property is exactly as advertised and the owners could not have been nicer people. We will definitely try to come back when the temperatures cool down so we can enjoy more outdoor activities.

This property was just what our family was looking for. We needed to be in the Georgetown area for two months. The thought of staying at a motel or renting an apartment just did not feel right. We felt welcome from even before day one. What a great experience. Our family includes two children and two dogs. Indian Bluffs was the perfect place for us. The wifi enabled us to continue school seamlessly. The fully equipped kitchen made it easy for me to prepare meals. The beds were enormously comfortable (so much that now that I am at home, I am missing them!) That our doggie family was welcome and had plenty of room to exercise was so important. We enjoyed our hikes and runs and the quiet seclusion of being at the end of the road. We felt safe and secure in the location. The Scurlocks were wonderful. They were helpful, informative, generous and attentive. Anytime we needed something (such as more firewood for the chilly days and nights) they were quick and pleasant to help. Our stay here was absolutely perfect. The home was clean and everything in the house worked. The kitchen was well stocked and I had the opportunity to cook in the oven, on the stove, in the microwave and on the bbq grill. We had plenty of hot water for a family of four. It was so helpful that there was a clothes washer and dryer right there. We could not have asked for a better place to stay for the length of time we spent in Georgetown. I would absolutely recommend staying with the Scurlocks to anyone who is looking for a peaceful, homey home away from home. Thank you so much! If we ever have need for this situation again, I will be making reservations happily!!

Awesome Getaway House
I had the wonderful opportunity to stay a couple of months at the Indian Bluff house. As others have expressed, I felt relaxed and at home as soon as I got there. There are so many personal touches Sheron and her family offer. The homemade muffins she makes are delicious and were still warm from the oven. These come in a variety of flavors, you will be asked what kind you prefer. There is a tour of the 130 acre property that includes views from the bluffs overlooking the San Gabriel River and the family goat herd. Much nature can be seen, deer, hawks, armadillo from hiking trails as well as from the back porch of the house. The home is beautifully decorated with such amenities as wi-fi and household essentials, kitchen, laundry, and bathroom items. The house was sparkling clean and well maintained. This property is the perfect distance from either Austin or Georgetown activities so the day can be planned accordingly. I would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative. Sheron you and your family were such wonderful welcoming hosts. It is an experience I will never forget.

Beautiful Country Home
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Indian Bluff. The country atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Just what we needed for a family get-together. We arrived really late and it was so nice to have some tasty muffings waiting for us. They were a perfect snack to munch on while we got settled! The home is so lovely and was perfect for our family to spread out and have some fun celebrating birthdays. The kids loved getting to visit the horses, goats, and cows. The kitchen was nicely stocked with all the needed kitchen gadgets. They even had a wafflemaker! Thank you so much for opening your doors to our family. We look forward to returning again.

real Texas hospitality and leisure living
This was a great stay! We have rented dozens of vacation houses and this felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. Everything we ever need, and more, was right there. The kitchen has a great supply of spices and cooking basics so we weren’t running to the store for salt and pepper. It is clean, spread out and easy to relax. All the bedrooms have some separation so it feels private and they are beautifully decorated and appointed. The “Texas” theme is real, with pastures, fences, livestock and big old live oaks around the house. The back patio was a great resting, reading and eating area. The fire pit and grill kept us happy and out of the kitchen! (with plenty firewood) The owners are helpful but not intrusive. I would recommend this to anyone and expect repeat visits. My husband is a U of Texas graduate and Austin is really easy to get to. Georgetown has much to offer; we couldn’t do it all during our visit. Loved this stay.
Great House and Southern Hospitality
My coworkers and I stayed at Indian Bluff while in town for an event. We were working long hours so we didn’t get to enjoy the beauty of Scurlock Farms very much, but the house is clean and comfortable and a great place to come home to after a long day. The best part about this place were the hosts.. one of my coworkers got sick and the owner even brought her medicine for her fever at 1 am! I highly recommend the property and hopefully will be able to come back and enjoy it more next time.

Exactly what we were expecting!
Very beautiful place and home. Sheron treated us like part of her family. We are Lori Meyers Band from Spain and we just want a place to stay during SXSW in Austin, but finally becomes a little vacations. Very peaceful place, the houses were extremely cleaned and 100% equipped. Even we were welcome with some exquisite muffins! We would like to thanks again Sheron for this true American experience. All the best!

This three-bedroom charmer is excellent for families or large groups. I spent most of my time on the covered patio in the backyard watching the hummingbirds fly around me and taking in the native plants. A short walk leads you to a romantic view of the bluffs overlooking the San Gabriel River — stick around for a breathtaking sunset or watch the stars glinting off the river. I brought my dog and he loved hiking the nature paths on the 172-acre working farm conveniently located in the Texas Hill Country right down the street from Georgetown’s famous town square dubbed the most beautiful town square in Texas. The most enjoyable part of my stay was the peaceful quiet nights — time really does slow down here.
