Hi Lee, how good to hear from you. Thank you so much for your comments, they are much appreciated!! My mom spent the last 5 to 6 years of her life writing her memoirs and I guess I got my love of writing from her. Guests to The Palette Pad, her art studio, and Rocky Overlook, my parents dream home, have enjoyed reading some of her stories in the notebooks in each home. They really help those staying with us at Scurlock Farms understand more about the history and the love that went into building the homes and the farm. The next newsletter is already written and is one of my favorites – it is about tubing the San Gabriel River at Scurlock Farms and has the most beautiful video of my family tubing this summer. David, our youngest son that also raised his family on the farm, shot the video with a drone, using a really good Go Pro camera.
